How does the cost of transportation impact your business?

We deal with FedEx and UPS all day, every day. But we never actually ship anything out. The cost of transportation impact is huge for our customers. What would be cheaper? USPS, FedEx, or UPS?

We went to the post office and got a few priority mail Tyvek envelopes. We just attached a label to the outside of the box for UPS and FedEx. Here are the results:

When it was all said and done, we decided to use USPS. They provide free shipping supplies for ground packages, which are cheaper and will arrive to our clients faster. Now, these rates are without discounts or incentives because we are not regular shippers. We do not have an on-time, or it’s free guarantee with USPS like we would have if we used FedEx or UPS. FedEx Ground and UPS Ground both have a delivery guarantee. If the package is not delivered by the end of the guaranteed delivery day, I will get a full refund of the shipping costs. The cost of transportation impact on our marketing is visible.
